Central Recruitment is currently recruiting for a Progression Coach, to work in the Didsbury area. The 12 bed service provides support to young people aged 16-25 years to help them move from hostel living to their own independent accommodation.
The successful candidate will be required to work 37.5 hours per week, working across Monday - Friday on a rota basis covering early (7:30AM - 3PM) and late (2:30PM - 10PM) shifts. You'll work one week of early shifts followed by one week of late shifts on rotation. Temporary cover is required for approximately 2 months, with the possibility of extension. The pay rate for this role is £13.91 per hour, with £1.68 holiday pay, totalling £15.59 per hour.
In this position, you will be expected to; - Hold a caseload of 6 key clients and conduct regular key working sessions resulting in agreed SMART outcomes-based support plans - Complete comprehensive risk and needs assessments - Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all clients in the service, including using Safeguarding and emergency alert procedures as applicable - Deliver one-to one and group support opportunities within their accommodation and in the local community aimed at increasing resilience - Proactively work in partnership with multiple agencies including statutory teams, to support the wellbeing of clients - Be flexible, reflective and creative in your engagement with clients and personalised in your support to them - Support all clients to participate in Education, Training, Employment and Volunteering opportunities as appropriate to the development of their skills, assets and aspirations - Ensure the health and safety of the environment for clients, staff, visitors and volunteers through regular checks and reporting. - Prepare the accommodation for new clients to move into and supporting the client to settle in - Support and facilitate the work of the volunteers
To apply for this role, you must have; - Experience of working with young people or those who have experienced homelessness. - An understanding of the needs of people who have experienced homelessness, poor mental health, substance misuse - Knowledge and understanding of Risk Assessments and Support Planning. - Able to demonstrate clear understanding of safeguarding requirements and procedures - Commitment to promoting an environment, which has the highest regard for the Health and Safety of others. - Good literacy, numeracy and IT skills
